Milston Wells Styled Shoot

Caitlin McCord

This dreamy galaxy skirt from Sweet Caroline Styles inspired the theme for this intergalactic styled shoot. Everything from the cake to the jewelry matched the moody space vibes, and the real-life couple featured added the perfect touch to the dramatic backdrop.

As seen on Wedding Chicks, link to full gallery available here.

The Rings

This shoot featured a 14k yellow gold engagement ring with grey spinel center and diamond halo. The diamonds in the halo are unique mix of round and princess cut stones, which give this beauty a delicate scalloped look. We paired it with stacking wedding bands and diamond starburst earrings. The groom donned a simple, brushed 14k yellow gold band.

Cami Galofre is a Colombian contemporary artist based in Denver, CO.

Galofre grew up Quito, Ecuador surrounded by beautiful Andean habitats and then spent her undergraduate years exploring American West where she fell in love with the landscape. She holds a BA in Studio Art and Environmental Science from Colorado College (2013) and a MFA from Arizona State University (2018). With a national and international exhibition record, Galofre is currently currently living and researching in Colorado.

As a woman and artist rooted in her Latin American heritage, Galofre explores Magical Realism as a visual concept. She paints the transformational landscape to reflect the way she experiences it, demonstrating a panorama intimately linked to human existence and highlighting our responsibility to preserve it. By looking at the evolved definitions of landscape art, she questions the way we interact with the natural world and art alike, presenting a contemporary look at Romantic aesthetics through an abstracted impulse that is reactionary and affective.

DREAMWORK is a collection of works on paper that developed with Galofre's return to Colorado. It explores mountainous and lush sceneries, while embracing the magic of transitional spaces and seasons.  Through her dream-like imagery, this series of paintings taps into the subconscious to initiate experiences of wonder and curiosity.

Sarah O. School Supply Drive

Caitlin McCord

As Sarah O. expands and our team continues to grow, we've had the opportunity to meet so many amazing women in the process. One of these incredible ladies is Lauren Birner, a 3rd grade teacher at DCIS at Ford and new team member at Sarah O.

Lauren grew up in Denver witnessing the vast inequality experienced by her classmates in the public school system, and this inspired her to become a teacher in an effort to make a difference. Because her classroom consists entirely of students on free or reduced lunch, Lauren often provides a large portion of the school supplies used on a daily basis. Upon hearing this news, Sarah's wheels started turning and her heartstrings started tugging. She loves to give back wherever she can and immediately knew she wanted to help Lauren and her students in some way.

She decided to partner with the amazingly generous team from the Arrow Group at West & Main to help Lauren fill her classroom with supplies and snacks for her wonderful students. So for one week in August, we'll be accepting donations in the shop and donating a portion of the weekend's sales. A detailed list of what Lauren's students need can be found at the bottom of this post.

I am a graduate of Denver Public Schools myself, and as a student I was struck by the inequality that existed in the city I loved so much.

I love working with the students that I do because even at a young age some of them are already aware of the cards that they have been dealt and have already lost belief in themselves.
