Marketing Manager

Reports To: Director of Customer Experience & Insights 

Location: Denver Metro Area - must be local or willing to relocate 

Salary Range: $65,000-$78,000 Depending on Experience. 

Benefits: Medical insurance, 401k match, paid time off, possible monthly bonuses based on sales goals.

Job Purpose Summary: On our team, everyone plays a critical role. The Sarah O. Marketing Manager is responsible for the overall strategy, development, and execution of marketing initiatives across all channels to support growth and achieve company goals at Sarah O. Jewelry.  Our ideal candidate has experience developing and executing marketing plans and campaigns while managing and inspiring a team. He/she will be comfortable with day-to-day marketing activities, as well as long-term strategy, with the ability to build and adapt to changing needs.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right internal processes
  • Create, execute, and measure goals and KPIs to optimize brand awareness, user acquisition and engagement across channels
  • Prepare the yearly marketing budget under the direction of the leadership
  • Manage a high performing team responsible for marketing initiatives to drive growth across both retail and ecommerce functions
  • Oversee the external communications strategy (social, web, and email channels) including the development, implementation, and post-campaign reporting and analysis to drive improvements 
  • Identify opportunities to support the expansion of the Sarah O. brand and footprint locally, nationally, and globally
  • Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
  • Assist in the planning and execution of events and new product launches through collaboration with Marketing, Product, Sales and Design teams
  • Act as the liaison for all promotional and press opportunities. Own the communication with outside agencies and the coordination of promotional materials, assets, and ads
  • Lead the creation and execution of all brand assets and marketing materials (print and digital) as needed for new and existing program initiatives, ensuring brand voice is consistent, current and on trend with our brand identity.
  • Accepts other responsibilities and duties as assigned

Specific Requirements:

    • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field preferred.
    • 5+ years experience in marketing management, retail or ecommerce industry experience a plus
    • 2+ years experience managing a team with demonstrated ability to positively influence within a fast-paced, growth environment
    • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns (organic and paid) across multiple channels including, digital, print, and mobile
    • Excellent communication skills and strong executive presence in front of customers, employees, vendors, and potential partners.
    • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools
    • Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at one time, think critically, and adapt quickly in a flexible environment
    • Entrepreneurial spirit / self-starter with ability to produce high quality work with little to no supervision
    • Proactively seeks out knowledge and opportunities for personal and professional growth

Business Accountant and Bookkeeper

Job Purpose Summary: On our team, everyone plays a critical role. As the Accountant and Bookkeeper (Emphasis on Tax experience) you will be assisting with the day-to-day financial activities, analyzing business operations, and identifying state and local tax guidelines to stay in line with compliance.

Reports to: CEO/President directly and Directors indirectly

Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 (DOE, plus benefits)

Benefits: Medical insurance, 401k match, paid time off, possible monthly bonuses based on sales goals.

Type: Full-Time position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and stays up to date with company Sales Tax Compliance for national, state and local sales tax laws and guidelines (including Nexus tax for ecommerce etc.).
  • Audits and documents all credit card expenses across the company
  • Pays all bills, and manages vendor accounts
  • Completes in house bookkeeping needs
  • Prepares and executes bank deposits
  • Traces and adjusts financial errors found during audit processes
  • Audits accuracy of deposits
  • Provides training to sales staff to improve relevant financial processes and procedures
  • Provides sales reports and any necessary payments to external partners including Dairy Block property group, external bookkeeping team etc.
  • Continually develops industry knowledge through greater exposure to peers, internal experts, clients, regular self-study, and formal training opportunities
  • Gains exposure to a variety of client situations to develop business skills. Retains knowledge gained and performance feedback provided to transfer into future work
  • Helps the in-store team with petty cash needs
  • Responsible for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) certification and company compliance
  • Assists with budget implementation and financial record keeping procedures
  • Maintains daily journals and ledgers
  • Handles reimbursement requests and maintains receipts
  • Works with Director level leaders to create and manage annual budgets.
  • Maintains, in accordance with established systems and regulatory requirements, a complete set of records to show financial transactions of the organization including customer contracts, invoices, etc.
  • This list is not exhaustive, nor all inclusive. Duties may be added, changed, or delegated to others over time. Many of these duties are shared amongst other team members

 Specific Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional related work experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Business, finance; preferred experience in tax accounting
  • Experienced in Quickbooks, Google Suite, Book Keeping and retail point of sale systems
  • Views the Sarah O. business through the eyes of the employee and customer and goes out of their way to anticipate their needs
  • Understands and appreciates the value of continuous communication exchange with fellow team members
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well with other team members

Sales Lead

Reports To: Store Manager

Location: Denver Metro Area - must be local or willing to relocate

Salary Range: $24-$28/hour (Depending on experience)

Type: Full Time position, Flexible Schedule (Weekend & Holiday Coverage Required)

Job Purpose Summary: To motivate, manage and maintain a team of sales associates and designers by meeting sales goals and providing guidance, assistance and structure to individual associates and the team as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partners with Store Manager on projects and ensures the success of any team process changes by way of training and appropriate oversight.
  • Understands and can step in to assist with all centralized jobs including but not limited to quality control, memo stones, special orders, etc.
  • Monitors in-store inventory levels and reports discrepancies and concerns promptly and accurately to the Store Manager.
  • Merchandises cases and maintains a high level of professionalism for the showroom and all other areas of the store.
  • Upkeeps sales floor and displays per company and brand standards, and contributes to strategically changing them to accommodate marketing campaigns and inventory levels.
  • Provides exemplary customer service to patrons by offering product knowledge and building relationships and rapport with regular shoppers.
  • Aids in styling customers by listening to their preferences and applying knowledge about trends and situational appropriateness to drive sales and build relationships.
  • Responsible for setting the example of an “ideal” custom design and shopping experience.
  • Proactively seeks out projects.
  • Oversees elevated customer relations issues and follows up as needed to ensure the best possible customer experience is given to everyone.
  • Monitors inventory of custom design and repair special order contracts. Communicates low inventory levels and order requests to Store Manager and/or Director of Product Development.
  • Reaches out to designers and jewelers to find out about customer inquiries on custom orders.
  • Assists with daily tasks including sorting mail, filing invoices, checking voicemails, calling customers, prepping and tracking shipments, etc.
  • Works a regular schedule with requests off conducive with traffic levels, season, and fair to hourly expectations.
  • Contributes to the function of the business by seeking out knowledge about policy and product.
  • Willing to fill in for scheduling needs at either store locations if necessary.
  • Identifies needs for training current and new staff members as well as assists with training and development new and current staff members.
  • Understands a customers vision and helps to convert it into an appealing custom jewelry piece.
  • Develops designs from sketched schematics.
  • Enforces company processes and positively communicates plans and changes that may impact the team.
  • Assists with creating a cohesive and positive culture across the company.
  • Accepts additional responsibilities as assigned.

Specific Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in design or fine arts, or college degree in fashion design or 1+ years of related work experience preferred
    • Self-starter, takes initiative to increase both individual and team productivity
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Flexible, ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to conceptualize and sketch by hand, experience with digital design tools a plus
    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
    • Ability to work cross-functionally and with a range of employees with different skill sets
    • Actively creates a positive work environment through teamwork and collaboration

Salary Range: $22-$25.50/hour (Depending on experience)

Job Purpose Summary: On our team, everyone plays a critical role. As a Fine Jewelry Sales Associate & Designer you will be assisting our amazing customers to find or create a beautiful jewelry item(s) whether it takes place in our beautiful showroom or during a one-on-one custom design experience. Furthermore, this position is responsible with assisting the leads and store manager in execution of daily activities to ensure a great customer experience and sales performance of the store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aids in styling customers with specific needs by listening to their preferences and applying knowledge about trends and situational appropriateness to drive sales and build relationships
  • Upkeeps sales floor and displays per company standards and contributes to strategically changing them to accommodate marketing campaigns and inventory levels
  • Provides exemplary customer service to patrons by offering product knowledge and building relationships and rapport with regular shoppers
  • Intakes repairs and notes appropriate due dates, contact information, and communication required about timelines and cost
  • Assists in packaging orders in an orderly fashion
