French jeweler, Alphonse Augis, immortalized the phrase plus qu'hier, moins que demain, which originated from a famous love poem from Rosemonde Gérard to her husband, the writer Edmond Rostand: For, you see, each day I love you more, today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.
